Intro

This session is designed to introduce Adobe Photoshop on Macs and the basic commands to start using the programme.

Structure

- General introduction to the interface, and see how it is similar across the creative suite.
- Explanation of raster/vector
- How to Open/Save files
- How to create a new file at 300dpi
- How to create a simple collage by dragging and dropping onto new canvas.
- Cutting/copying/pasting
- Introduce adjustments
- Destructive/non-destructive image editing
- Introduce layers
- Have a play
- Help files
- Look briefly at Adobe Bridge
- How to find tutorials online, YouTube etc - skills will come in handy
- Tutorial books/Library
- How to sign in to lynda.com
- How to sign in off campus using a VPN connection
