Tiling output in Illustrator

Illustrator has a nice print option for tiling.

File > Print
Under General Options should be Tile settings
Under printer at the top select Adobe PDF this will then print to a PDF file that will appear on your desktop
Obviously select the paper size you require

Check the PDF - should be a tiled version of your work and send to print as normal.
