WSA General Workshop Code of Practice

WSA School wide Workshop Policy

★ No food or drink.
★ Please keep the workshop tidy - Corridors & hatched areas
must be free from trips.
★ Please wear suitable clothing & footwear.
★ You must wear PPE as required.
★ No spraying within the workshops (spray mount, paint
etc.).
★ You must observe the traffic light system when using
equipment.
★ You should not use any machinery if under the influence
of any drugs, medication (prohibiting machinery use) or
alcohol.
★ Please do not use mobile phones whilst using equipment.
★ You should take a break from using a computer every hour
for at least 10 minutes.
★ All electronic equipment must be PAT Tested by WSA
trained Staff.
★ Please be aware of the nearest Fire Exit.
★ Please be aware of the nearest First Aid list.
★ No lone working after 9-5 Monday to Friday.
★ Remember you have a duty of care towards others whilst
in the workshop.
★ In an emergency dial 112 from an internal phone.
