Q: Which version of iMovie is which?
A: If you select iMovie in the Applications folder (using column view), you can read what version it is:
iMovie 09 = version 8
iMovie 08 = version 7
iMovie HD (06) = version 6

Q: Which version of iMovie should I use?
A: You should use iMovie 09 (version 8). iMovie HD (06) is still available for compatibility with older iMovie projects, but these can also be opened in iMovie 09. Choose File > Import > iMovie HD Project.
iMovie 08 is very similar to iMovie 09, so the instructions here apply to both versions.
Adding a new Guide ?
In the add a new page type in the following - type imovie then a : followed by your own page name and click new page like this imovie:pagename
Last but not least dont forget to add back links (at the bottom) after editing to add the breadcrumbs and link the page on the tech guides (type in imovie) page if you have not done so when you created the page.
