Sound Recording Skills

FAQ's

Q: Which recording format should I choose on the Zoom H2?
A: For best quality use WAV44.1kHz/24bit for audio CD work, WAV48kHz/24bit for video work
It's ok to use 16bit if you need to fit more on the card. Try to avoid using mp3 unless you really need the recording time.

Note: MP3 files are Compressed audio files. Older versions of Final Cut Pro cannot use MP3 files up until Final Cut Pro X.

Tips

Listen before you record - make sure you only record the sounds you want as other sounds are hard to remove after recording.
